Nikolaus Rakos is an associate at sms.law.

His work focuses on Corporate / M&A, Corporate Governance, Competition and Antitrust Law, as well as Banking & Finance.

Nikolaus obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Law from the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien). During his studies, he gained valuable practical experience as an intern at a leading Austrian bank and a well-established law firm in Vienna. After completing his studies and the mandatory court practice within the jurisdiction of the Vienna Higher Regional Court, he began his career as an associate at a renowned international law firm in Vienna. Since September 2025, Nikolaus has been part of the sms.law team.
